Yeah I have been hearing that for a while now, and also heard it depends on your 'priority' and how many allocations your dealership has. Mine has 5 allocations and I am the first one to order it from them. I hope that means I am first priority.

Ashen Grey is way better than black IMO

I agree, they both look amazing but that AGM just adds more depth and is super dark for a grey so it will be PERFECT! Plus I had a black Camaro in highschool and traded in a black Sierra for my 1LE, so its time for a change! You are so right, there are going to be so many pics of everybody's rides when they start arriving. I still havent decided what I am going to do about the tire situation if its 40 degrees or below when delivered, as it will likely be December maybe January. I live in Houston so have a chance it will be warm, but never know!

My dealer told me that they were only allocated 5 1LE's. I do not know if that was for this month or what, but that basically means that for whatever given time they could only order 5. I know that a customer ordered car gets priority over a car ordered for a dealer's lot, but thats all I know on priority.

My 1LE was "built and bayed" yesterday. I'm TOLD the NLT delivery date is set as 10/26.

Here are the options I added to my 1LE:
2SS
RS Package
7" Touch screen navigation
ZL1 dual mode exhaust
Premium Sound
Interior pedals/cup holder illumination

MSRP when I built my car on Chevy came to $45,195.

Invoice price on my car directly off the invoice is $42,697.81.

I'll be paying $41,819.94 (ish)

Not too shabby :P

Congrats, man! You'll need to drive up to NoVa and show it to me. I ordered the Summit White also, but skipped the RS for the sunroof. My TPW is 10/22 (Monday!). So stoked.

Thats great guys...CONGRATS!!! I am a bit jealous but know I need a few months to save a bit more. What are you guys going to do about the tires being that winter is so close? I live in Houston and am pretty sure the 40 degree limit on them will be an issue for me. Buying 4 new 285/35/20's that can handle a bit colder temps wasnt in the plan!!

I'm just outside of DC in free part of the metro area. I'll have to touch base with you.

Take care and post lots of pics.

If you order vs. buy on the lot, the dealer doesn't have to pay the interest for the loan which means they get all of the holdback, if you let them. If you're buying it's zero cost to the dealer and zero risk (unless you back out). So, you should be able to calculate the dealer's actual cost and add a fair and reasonable profit on top of that.

Checkout fightingchance.com and one of my posts in this forum where I talk about holdback. If you're buying a 1LE, fighting chance won't help you. But it's a terrific service for buying 'normal' cars. I bought an Audi S4 following this method and had great success - whole car for $38K when they normally went for much higher. Basically I used a fax machine and stated exactly what I'd pay. Again, zero negotiation time spent. Whole affair was three hours including the writing the fax letter and doing the faxing and talking to 20 dealers by phone.
