The new Focus comes out next year, a new ST would make a great new daily driver since GM seems to not give a crap about the demographic. I mean Ford has the Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS, what does GM have? They don't even have a Malibu to compete with the Fusion Sport...

It would be so easy. They already have a great platform. The cruze would be a beast with some 225 tires maybe 235s, mag ride and the ATS LGX motor.

I actually see a ton of Focus and Fiesta ST's.

This is one area IMO ford has clear advantage over GM. After test driving the Focus ST, I did drive a Fusion Sport and that is 99% going to be my next car. If I don't get a truck I want something that is going to be at least fun to drive. Ford has it covered in that area GM doesn't

The Cruze would never get a V6 engine....at best it would get a hot version of the 2.0 turbo (which would make sense when you compare what its competitors have).

That said, the LGX in that car with the right tires/wheels/suspension would be very fun indeed.

My bad I meant the 2.0T that's in the ATS. Not very up to date on the new names of the motor. Last I knew it was called the LNF then they tweaked it for the regal and changed the letters again. So whatever the 3 letter are for the 2L in the ATS

I've been wondering when we might see a refresh on the current design for these trucks. I'm going to assume (IF) they get a refresh, it will happen for the 2018 or 2019 MY.

Wow...that seems so fast.

But I say bring it on. The CT6 is a great car wrapped in a un-inspiring body. Don't get me wrong...it looks OK/good. But it should have been great and it just isn't. It should have been more like the Escala, which is likely how this refresh will go.
