That sucks but at first glance, to me there has to be a little more to it than just an unsecured load. For it to be blown out like that on both sides

My father in law did something similar to his F350, he put two big bales of hay side by side in the back that were about 4 inches wider than the bed. folded them out and messed up his bed rails pretty good.

Yeah, I'd like to know the circumstances behind that too.

This happened a little while ago...guy ran the truck through a car wash and it peeled the radio antenna back.

Apparently, it was something pretty heavy and they turned, so it blew out one side. Instead of stopping, they turned hard the other way and it blew out the other side.

I don't see a steel bed surviving something like that but I doubt it would blow apart.

My dad has gotten the spray in bed liner for free on his last 2 Silverados. Just gotta ask. The problem with the spray in ones is that they're so slippery you still need a rubber one in.

That depends entirely on what company is doing the lining and who is spraying it in. I have seen all different liners and there is a difference.

The ones I have gotten were the exact opposite, you couldn't slide anything in the bed without a lot of effort.
