315/35/17 MT ET Street S/S are really small?!
I just swapped my rear wheels and tires.
I went from the stock wheels with 315/35/R20 NTO5R's to a 17" Drag Star with 315/35/R17 MT ET Street S/S's. While the car was on the lift the new wheel and tire combo looked really small so i measured. The New wheel/tire combo was about an inch shorter than my front wheels which are stock with 285/35/R20 BF Goodrich tires and about 1.5 inches shorter than the 315/35/r20 wheels that came off the car. I'm still waiting to take it off the lift to see what it looks like on the ground but am I wrong in thinking that the tires should be closer in size to the Nittos? Kind of freaking out rn. Best, D |

Using this guide Zl1 has a stock Rear 305/35-20 = 28.4" tall, 11.0 wheel You used the ss spec which should be in tolerance 315/35-20 = 28.7" tall, 10.5-11.0 wheel A 315/35/17 is 25.68"tall as others stated so it will definitely look small and most likely trigger light. I wish I had the answer, but I'm not sure what is available in a 17 searching my phone |

Update: Wrong tires were ordered. I was under the impression that 315 was the height.
You live you learn I guess. |

For future reference
The first number in tire size is the width the 2nd is the height which is a percentage of the width in your case its 35% and the last is obviously rim size
