Don't the L99s have VVT also? If so, I wonder if they can do this, too.

Yep, I believe L99s are VVT. Pretty sure they would be able to.

Anyway, Vince replied me today, told me it's possible. And asked if I would like to try it out.

I'm willing to try it out, document it for you guys. If it works, I'll post a video and other jazz =) Hopefully it will work, and won't be too much problem =D

Sweet. It might be a neat tune to run at a car meet! I would ask him to have it turn off above idle if he can. If not then be sure to swap back to your good tune before you drive; don't think that can be good under load.

EDIT--Just don't spend 20 hrs on the video this time! Can't having you failing out of school just because you've got the Camaro Jones!

LOL.... I'm not in school, been working since 2008, and graduated with 4 years of University lol. Do I look that young? hahaha... I'm older than I look.

Anyway, I will keep the video short and sweet. Vince is writing the tune as we speak I believe.

He said, theres a seperate Cam phasing table for idle and off-idle. So it should be no problem. I was worried about the engine off idle as well.

Also, he's thinking of making a Chop switch, so if you press the cruise control button, or buttons like ur TC/SC, you can turn the Cam Tune off completely. But he's trying to get the base tune down first. We also need to see if it even sounds good enough lol.

Might end up sounding like crap, who knows. Also, I don't have headers, so it might not be as loud as the mustang video. But we should be able to hear a distinctive "cammed" sound =D

Sorry, thought you had written somewhere "on my way from school to work..." but guess I got that wrong. At my age guess everyone looks younger than they are (and bad memory to boot).

Might get him to send it to me if it sounds good just for fun.

Tune was on my list after exhaust and posibly headers. Might have to move this up to #2 after custom stripes.

Now if this could do the sound AND improve performance like a true cam, it would be mod #1!

lol, nah man don't worry about it. It's a compliment, especially if i can look youthful when I get a lot older. Yeah, i mean, it's not going to do anything but make your idle sound really sweet. Why not? =D

Nah, theres no real way it will improve the performance like a true cam... but i would suggest you get the tune when you got some bolt-ons to optmize =D It's worth it imo.

ha...my challenger sounds like this all the time

I wonder if causing this much overlap would be a problem for a interference engine, I'm pretty sure the LLT is....hope no valves meet piston tops trying this out!

Yeah, that might be a concern.

Jagan, maybe you want to have Vince just do a little at a time.
