Argh!! Can't hear phone over in-car speakers...

I know this has got to be something simple... been searching but haven't been able to find the answer.

Successfully paired my Blackberry Bold, but I cannot hear anything through the speakers. I'm able to dial and call through my phone, but when I do I don't hear anything either in the car or on the phone (but the phone display does show that I'm connected). Volume control is good (I can hear the prompts when dialing over Bluetooth) and radio/CD work fine...

Is there something really simple that I'm missing?

I've paired/re-paired the phone 3 times, and I've also deleted the prior devices (bought the car used) but still no luck.

Love the car, but it'll be even better if I can get this figured out

Thanks guys!

Paul...

Yea I think it's very simple, turn it up lol, I had the same problem with the navigation, even took it to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out. Basically I think all the different functions operate separately with the volume control. Obviously not 100 percent sure but just try raising the volume once it says your connected.

Thanks for the reply!

I did try that (turned it up to about 40) but didn't notice a difference; also, I'm able to hear the automated prompts fine, for example when the system tells me it's dialing my number.

When I get home tonight, I'll try to crank it up even more and see if it helps.

I know the radio and phone have separate volume settings. When the phone is called, the ringing is the radio and when you answer it, the volume is set to another volume, turn it up once it connects and see if that helps. I usually have my radio set to around 25 and the phone set to around 40, hopefully this makes sense.

Still no luck... connected the phone, voice dialed a number, turned the volume all the way up, and still no sound. Couldn't hear anything from the phone either, although it was connected. When I pressed the external speaker button on my Blackberry I could hear, but as soon as I set it back to bluetooth (hands free), nothing.

It's as if the in car speakers are permanently muted, but only once a number is dialed or a call comes in. I can hear the prompts clearly and without issue.

Any other ideas?

I vaguely remember having to set up "hands free calling" mode either on the phone or on the radio. Until I did this, the phone would ring through the car speakers, but I could only use it as a normal phone.

No luck... this thing is driving me crazy. The phone indicates that the 'General Motors' connection is set up for hands free. I don't see anything in the car that needs configured. I'm at a complete loss...

Has anyone else had any issues with a Blackberry Bold (model #9650) running v6.0 software?

Hah, finally got it working!! Just did a hard reboot (yanked the battery) on my phone and now it's working!!

I can't explain it, but if it keeps working I won't complain ; )

Thanks to all that offered suggestions!!
