A little 'popping' will happen. How much is the question.

Should get my car soon, I told dealer not to put anything but 91 octane in it. He came back and said the camaro is tuned for 87 octane and anything higher would throw a code. I explained the finding to him and he said he would go ahead and put the 91 octane if I requested but he wouldnt recommend it. I asked him to please put the 91 in it. I think dealers should keep up on things going on.

The popping is very slight compared to what it used to be. It was a loud double backfire on startup. Now it's a soft double backfire. lol Idk if that helps

When you say 'used to' do you mean you pulled the fuses and it's a little less of popping now? That would describe mine. Mine will still pop but nowhere NEAR what it did before.

Yep. That's what I meant, sorry. But yep, so I guess it is normal then. Thanks!

I'd still time it to see if it's all good.

All right guys, i have an ls3 and am very dissapointed with the power thought i would be able to roast the tires from a stop, but i cant. I just did the fuse pull now so i will be back with the results tommrow. i havent noticed any of the other ls3 problems guys have been saying though. it does not jerk when im shifting and so forth. the only other difference i notice as far as a problem is the idle is too low in my opinion it idles as about 600 to 700 rpms. I will keep you all posted.

Mine is the same and is very smooth after I did the 5/20 reset. I like it.
