I'll be loading the car tomorrow and putting all of the new/rebuilt items to be installed into the truck and heading to the shop...

Corey requested her so we can begin the final prep for the mile... Oil and filter change, new air filters, new filter hoses, new quick release steering wheel....

Then onto tuning, setting up the two step, setting up the no lift shift and working on the waste gate duty cycle...

So,

To the point, Corey found a broken spark plug, and a boost hose that was off... This is probably a remnant from the last mile run. The car has been in my garage almost the entire time since then... He has ordered a switch for the clutch so we can set up several things in the ProEFI system. Oil has been changed, and the filters are being cleaned out. I spent the day getting my trailer up to date for inspection and registration and they got this stuff done today... I'm headed to the DFW metroplex tomorrow to pick up a 67 Chevelle and bring it back to the shop. It has a 396 BB and a "large" blower... I can't wait to see it... It hasn't been run in 4 years... I'll be back late so I'm taking the car to the shop on Friday....

Boost hose probably looks like a balloon under pressure, surprised you didn't hear it come off.

We finally had a few minutes to sit and talk about it yesterday, and some other items. He said it was mostly on, as there is no room for the boost piping to move, (we actually have to slide the hoses onto one pipe or another to get the pipes apart) and it wouldn't be noticeable except under boost... We are not sure when it happened but it's fixed... I like the look and feel of the new steering wheel... We'll finish that up Monday...

I have to go out to the ranch and pick up a car to be brought into the shop... and I'll be tearing apart two Holley Carbs and rebuilding them... These are carbs off the 69 Chevelle I picked up Thursday... Nice car...

I went to Ft Worth to pick it up, having no clue what I was getting other than a 67 Chevelle, which turned out to be a 69 Chevelle, and I was pleasantly blown away when I pulled the car cover off... and more so when I got to see the whole thing uncovered...

So the dad of a friend of Corey owned the car. He raced it often. Medical issues stopped that (permanently) and it was parked in a garage for about five years in Ft Worth. The fathers ex-wife was going to sell the car and Coreys friend said not no but hell no. His grandmother had the title and the keys, and so I went and got the car, met the grandparents, got the keys, and brought it to the shop. We are going to get it running, and then it'll probably be sold... by the son, not the ex-wife...
