Barrett Jackson Car Auction - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I was bored last night and started cable channel hunting etc. What pops up is the car auction of barrett Jackson and I see a vintage old truck
being auctioned off. Hmm show looked pretty interesting so I was watching it for about 5 minutes or so, and they go to commerical. To my surprise there was a commerical for the ZL1 which was basically showing one of the ZL1's in the camo black and white exterior. They were running it around the track telling about the car. I'm sure that this is not the first time the ZL1 has been advertised by Chevy on this show, but it was a real rush to watch.

Cool... last year they announced the Indy Pace car there... I keep waiting to see if it's going to be a ZL1 this year...

There's a red ZL1 on display at this weekend's Scottsdale, AZ Barrett Jackson auction?

Neither Barrett Jacskon's website nor a general google search confirm this. Does anyone have information confirming this?

There was what looked like a red ZL1 and the white COPO concept in the Chevy booth on shots going to/coming out of commercials (appeared to be many '12/'13 new models on display). Barrett-Jackson's website only lists vehicles that are in the auction catalog. Many car companies have display booths set up there showing their product.

Interesting lot # 3022 Wed. night This might give the ZL1 a run for the money or wouldn't it be interesting if the Ford guys ( I know Mr. B is a Chevy guy now) give GM a headstart in closing the HP gap ( if they aren't already there or not going to get it done with the LS7 or 9?) and body checking the GT500, while staying below the ZR1 HP#

Today at the Barrett Jackson, Chevy has a red ZL1 but they aren't letting anyone sit in it after someone tried to steal the shift knob! :(
