You dont lose much on the wheels we have a supercharged 5th gen that has only been beat by one car runs 11s all day long. Super fast with street tires at the track.

I'd do 22s, because that's what I did otherwise, you will compact your spine for sure! 22s already give up some ride quality, and I just spent the money to have it ride right, although I also autoX, so a little extreme.

You lose a LOT of performance with 22s even.

19s are the way to go for performance.

20s are the balance between looks and performance.

STAY AWAY FROM SAVINI!!!!!!!!!!

That company is crooked and fake.

If all you want is looks and don't care about crap workmanship and accuracy then Savini is for you. But I don't see why anyone would not care about that.

Savini wheels are made to look at and not be used.

I have both, 22's on the front and 24's on the rear. NC Forged Custom 5-Spokes.

Sorry, sent from my stupid phone! Any loss of performance is negligible. At least to me. I have no problems getting to where I need to be, when I need to be...or even sooner. I had 26's on my truck as well. Do what you like OP. you won't be disappointed either way!

My understanding is 22's and 24's are way expensive. would it be that much more to lower?

I bought Savini wheels right away in 22s and the look was fantastic.

BUT, they vibrated, lost paint in sheets, and wouldn't hold air. Even the local shops here were laughing at them. I had to send them back to Savini not 1, not 2, but 3 times. FROM Alabama. In the end I got screwed and had to get them fixed somewhere else.

Well documented here on this site. We've had 4 members get bit by Savini here at least. Finish sucks. They painted straight over shiny chrome with no prep. All of my paint fell off.

Savini is all marketing and no substance. Just do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

17s are for drag performance and 18s are for performance in the twisties.

Maybe. Depends on who you talk to. 2 ton car might be the difference to some. 17s for drag for sure.

My family and friends all laughed at me when I bought those wheels. My answer to that was "You get what you pay for".

Now they laugh even harder.
