In my time at Meritor-Wabco, (they make ABS components for class 8 trucks) I asked a colleague why there are so many skid marks on the highway with all the ABS vehicles. His reply was, "ABS works until it can no longer work." Meaning with good brakes, especially Z/28 brakes, ABS can be overpowered. Made sense.
