LS High volume GMPP oil pump
Is this thing okay for a ls3?
part number 17801830 Its essentially a slightly tweaked LS6 oil pump from what I read? Has anyone run this in their ls3? http://paceperformance.com/i-6255418...-pump-kit.html |

Honestly man, I wouldn't even waste your money when there is better that can be had. My advice? get the Melling 10296 H/V Oil pump and don't look back.

I put the GMPP piece in my car, and haven't looked back either I did do a little work to it with some sanding rolls and files before I installed though, so, I guess I can't say that it is "stock", either. Either way, you probably can't go wrong. I'm sure there are horror stories for both pieces. Good luck!

More horror stories with the GM pieces than the melling, mellings are already blueprinted and built with better materials.
