So happy with my car.
Just replaced the factory battery in my 2012 V6.
Car rolled off the line 11/11 bought it 8/12, oil changes, rotor and brake replacement is the only mechanical things I've had to do.She has 187k on the odometer. https://imgur.com/a/3ZeCgtY

I change mine every 1,000 miles or less lol. I don’t put much mileage on her but I drive hard.

I keep hearing about the longevity of these batteries. I don't use a tender on mine; just park it in the garage and drive it maybe once or twice per week just to keep it from sitting too long. I put about 6k miles on it per year, so oil changes are annual. I have a V6, too, so although I drive hard on the highway, the oil life isn't really impacted all too much. |

Nice car!
The 5th gens overall have a great reliability if adult driven and well cared for. Yeah, oil change scheduled for superbowl sunday and off the top of my head it will have been driven 155 miles since last superbowl sundays oil change.

Just did the battery change on mine this past weekend as well. Was shocked to pull it out and read the date 7/2011 lol. Hope mine lasts as long as yours!

Ain't a damn thing wrong with that, so long as you can afford it. I would do the same if the Amsoil didn't cost me nearly $100 per change.

Congrats! Glad to hear you've gotten your moneys worth. With 187k on the odometer I'm sure you have made some memories with her as well!

Excellent, what oil are you using and how often do you change it? Any fuel injection cleaners? Service trans stuff like that?

Just put redline d4 atf in my trans. Feels a little better going into 2nd and reverse when cold. Will be doing royal purple max gear in rear next. I work at a dealership so would always get mobil 1 for next to nothing and it's all I've ever used in the engine. Change my oil every 3-4k miles.

That's what I used in my L99 and it was super clean inside with very little wear after 153,000 miles. I switched to Amsoil Z-Rod for the LS3, but only because of the added zinc package for the cam. Otherwise I would still run the Mobil 1 EP. The Mobil 1 is very good stuff, especially when paired with an aggressive change interval.
