What are factory HID - 6000k or 8000k?

Anyone know if the factory HID headlights from the RS are a 6000k or 8000k color?

I think I'm going to step down to the 6000k. I think tomorrow i'm going to order some 6000k bulbs. Once they get here I'll switch them out to figure out which ones I want and then I'll send the other ones back for a refund.

4300 is about the temp of regular halogen bulbs. i believe the HID's are somewhere between 5k or 6k!

good question. im sure somebody on the forum has either done it or atleast tried.

and actually the higher temp you go the less bright they are! basically you just start changing the color more blue and purple! the lower the temp, the brighter they get...but they start going more yellowish!

yea all stock HID's no matter in what car use 4300k which is the industry standered.
and no they are nowhere near the same color as the stock halogens. halogens are whity yellow, while 4300k hids are white with a yellow hue.
if ur gona upgrade the hid bulb go either 5000k which is pure white or 6000k which is white with a blue hue. anything above 6000k is totaly usless not because of color because the light output decreases.

SSmoked got it right. Though the colour of our HIDs are a pure white. No yellow hue at all. When the bulb first turns on, its a light baby blue/aqua then goes pure white, which i love. Im definitly going to go 6K when the time comes to go replace them
