I would be extremely disappointed if my car only made 600 hp with a TT kit. I would expect that from the v6.

Several company's already have products to do just that.

Personally, I like the STS setup. I put down good numbers, better than the SC I had on before the STS system was installed. Several factors played into that, most importantly more boost. The STS setup was cheaper than the SC setup I had too.

I don't like having extra heat under my hood and limiting the space I have to work on my engine, so I didn't go front mount TT. If you have to have a front mount TT setup, get one. If you like a whipple, get one. If you want CFI, get it. ITS YOUR MONEY, YOUR CAR, oh, and YOUR PREFERENCE.

That being said, there is no way in hell I would spend an extra $30K to get a different set of breaks, different rims, TT and fender flares. I'm pretty sure the Brembo's will work just fine for an extra 175hp and a few 1/4 mile pulls. I'm not going autocrossing so my brakes should be just fine.

Did they swing a deal with GM like Avis did that we don't know about? It's going to take some time to produce each of these cars AFTER they get the base car. I'm not seeing a lot of those collecting dust anywhere, how about you guys?

We should be able to see these numbers with a Kenne Bell twin screw at a fraction of the cost. Yeah yeah, you pay a ton for the eye candy body kit but this is all stuff someone can buy from GM.

KB blowers provide stunning, reliable output in a package that is much more affordable than a TT setup (in my opinion). Don't have to deal with turbo lag either (could argue it's negligable with the displacement on the V-8). Anyone see the Yellow C6 1/4 mile run with a prototype LS3 KB 2.8 on Streetfire? Scary...seriously. I hope they release one for the camaro or just adapt the Corvette LS3 kit to fit.

That looks awesome, but $70k is a little much for a Camaro...

try $100+k. that setup is 70k.... plus you provide the camaro, so effectively you will be spending upwards of 100k

thats absurd. Im sorry. But it just doesnt cost that much to look good and get a TT. I know they are upgrading the suspension and brakes too, but.. what is that.. 15K max? And its not like you're paying for the name.... "ooo is that an Artisan?!?!?!" ....ha!

I'd rather swap in a nelson racing engines Twin turbo LS3 and do my own cosmetic mods for that kind of money. Plus, Nelson racing engines are amazing and very reliable. They had a deal for LS3 twin turbos for 20k I think somewhere on this site a few months ago.

Good looking car though!

Already done brother.

Jeff has a G8 running a KB right now. The G8 and Camaro SS are both Zeta Chassis cars, so I'm sure they are interchangeable.
Check over on G8board.com for the details.

He installed my lowering kit, mocked up the KB kit on my car to make sure everything was going to clear and it did. He also did some measurements to make sure all brackets were gonna fit exactally where he wants them. If he wanted to he could install a kit on my car tomorrow, he's even told people if they want a kit bring the car and the money and he'll install one. Jeff is a perfectionist/ workoholic and I've watched him work on cars. He checks every part atleast three times, he marks everything with a wax pen. All of his installs are clean. The reason he isnt on the forum more is because he actually works on all the cars himself along with his mechanics. He's not just giving out orders on what needs to be done then not making sure it's up to his standards.

Like Jeff@TPE said, he's waiting for the final production of the lower manifolds. He can get them for any kit, but it was costing $1700 for individual manifolds, If you want to pay this price then go ahead. Once the production is done the cost will come down substantially as well as lowering the total price of his kit. NO I DON'T KNOW THE FINAL PRICE!!

Jeff has a PROVEN track record on Corvetteforum.com and is the sole person responsible for bringing the Kenne Bell to the Corvette. If you have seen a C5 with a KB (custom orange), it was Jeff's project.
