I pulled the trigger...
After just one year of ownership, I traded in my beloved V6 in on this 2010 M6 1SS/RS with just 5,000 miles on it! I've almost bought a couple of SS's in the past few months, but I knew this was the one when I saw it. It was exactly what I wanted and was able to get it through my best buddy that works at a big local lot. He hooked me up pretty hard and jumped through a bunch of hoops to get me into this beautiful SS. It's in MINT condition, with only really slight swirling on the paint that will all easily buff out. No scratches, dents or dings.
When I drove my V6 up to the lot for the trade today, I was super sad. I loved that car so much and was wondering if I was making the right decision. But as soon as I cranked that V8 up, it felt SO RIGHT. I knew I did the right thing. I'll keep this one for life. Maybe one day when I'm old and gray my kids can enjoy it [not that I have any kids yet, though]. Thanks to everyone that gave me advice on the last thread I posted about this exact car. Most of you told me not to do it. But I planned it out carefully and ended up getting it for a little cheaper than planned. So I feel really good about it. I know I'm going to enjoy it. I work 2 jobs and don't have any vices, so THIS is my reward. Can't wait to open the garage up tomorrow morning to get to work! |

Thanks!! But this pic is SO AMAZING it says it all! [Sarcasm, of course]
I'll post some soon. I didn't have enough time today. I drove her off the lot at 6pm, so it was dark by the time I was ready to stop driving for a minute. |

Love the pic.
Dont be too sad to see the sunroof go. It adds weight! I was sad to see my V6 go too. Someones gona get a wonderful car. The cost of ownership does go up a bit with the SS. But man, the dang sound Yo.

Ironically, I also want a bare bones V6 LS Camaro, steel wheels, guess they gussy them up with calling them "heritage wheels", whatever, and a manual tranny, grinding the gears and just run the hell out of it, like a rental car.
Heck, just for fun, I would put a Confederate flag bumper sticker on one side and one of those annoying CoExiSt bumper stickers on the other side just to screw with people. I love my vert, but I sure do baby it. God Bless America! Last edited by tonyko1; 09-07-2013 at 02:16 PM. |

In a few years, the details of the deal won't matter anyway. As long as you're driving the car you want, then life is good!!!

Congrats man. I actually went a little upside down when I bought my 2011 SS. First thing I did for the first 6 months I made two payments a month. That got me right side up again in no time.
I hate to say this but YOLO. You really only do live once. What ever makes you smile in the morning is worth it.
