Anyone with Custom Upholstery?
Looking to finishing up my interior and I want to get my seats redone with white piping. I went to a local upholstery and we talked for a bit on different ways to approach it.
He wants to use real high grade leather for everything including some white accents on the seats. He quoted me 4k for the seats, center console arm rest and doors. I'm thinking thats just way too high. Thoughts? I was thinking Katzskin, but seen pics of it looking too loose. |

I have custom upholstery.
Monotone orange leather w/ matching houndstooth inserts. Inspired by the '69 Pacecar. The leather covers I got from leatherseats.com, and the houndstooth material I got separately. A local upholstery shop put in the houndstooth centers and installed them on the car for just $500.00. Leatherseats.com would have charged over $2,000+ for the same shit. I'd look into Katzkins. Aftermarket leather companies aren't as bad as you think. How tight the leather is depends more on how it is installed. |

Don't forget leather will loosen over time but a little steam and stretch does wonders!
Went with Katzkine due to the air bag stitching! No one in town would touch it but mines been done for awhile as well! Sorry crappy pick but you get the gist!

I had the dealership install Katzkin leather when I bought the car. The leather is much better feeling than stock, and looks great. I made a deal on it but they quoted me originally about $1700. |

I'm having black leather with black suede and red stitching done. Should have it installed in the next few weeks.
