Hey ZZ, I know it sucks waiting. I have been at 3400 since over a week ago. I thought is would be built by now, but it hasn't. Is there anything we can or should do about it at this point? No. The reason we are so cranked is because we really, really, really want to know that OUR car has been built. The next wave will be getting all wound up that it hasn't been shipped or made it to the dealer yet. Other than if we were willing to part with $400,000 to beat Rick Hendricks bid for SN 00001, then we have to wait. None of know for sure about Moreno Valley and Avis, but if it is true, business is business and I am sure Avis paid mightily just like Hertz did for the Mustangs they got early on.

From a practical point of view, and as Scott has said, they absolutely want us to have our cars as soon as possible. Hang in there buddy... We literally are all in this together at this point.

Thanks to UCF and heinz for taking their PERSONAL time and effort to keep us up-to-date and informed. Without them, we wouldn't even be having these posts and OUR car's progress would be completely blind. So Thank You !!!

Me too, and mine was supposed to be built this week. My dealer there says it was built but its just not showing up in the system. I think hes just trying to keep me patient.

I dont think its unfair to ask or question information provided to you or promises made to you about a product youve deposited money for months before it actually existed when the company is in dire need of funds. I want so much for the car to succeed and for gm to rebound because the american auto industry has supported my family for several generations. I am just saddened that my loyalty is not being valued with accurate or honest info. Its not bitching its just a request for accountability. I love everything about this car and am so excited for it to be my first car to purchase for myself. I just dont like feeling like im being fed false info so that i'll be just happy enough not to take my money elsewhere. Thank you to all the hard working people on the lines and offices at GM. Im not going anywhere, I just hope that in the midst of big deals with rental companies or what not, dont forget about those of us who have laid down cash in the very beginning

Whoa whoa whoa...I'm with you on this Bud..I was seriuos about my post...I am sure I have been reffered to as 1 of the biggest bitches on here because my order for a blue SS has been pushed back...I ordered back in October and had a Feb Consensus for a March build....trust me I'm with you on this

Lol, ok, were all just ready to enjoy these amazing cars. Not to mention I'm trying to make my old car survive long enough for my new one to come...and its broke down twice this month! Needless to say, i'm ready to have my new machine as much as anybody!

I must apologize to you all for getting all wound up about this. I did not mean or intend to start any type of whining session or thread...Basically just all the little things boiled over.
I actually stand to lose A LOT of parts and build sponsorships if my car is not here soon, so now you know why I got uptight. I apologize to all for getting carried away and dragging some of you down with me.

I commend you all for getting this info for us, and we need to keep an open mind on what is going on. I think GM has seen the errors that got it into this financial mess, and I think we all must trust that GM is doing what it sees fit to get out of that crisis and to deliver us all one bad mambo jambo of a Camaro.

P.S. When I do get the car, I will keep you all up to date on the new parts I have a feeling may be developed...wink wink

I have a question, maybe ya'll can help me. I ordered my Camaro from Lawrence Hall in Abilene TX. They told me they got 15 allocations, I was #2. Lawrence Hall also has a Chevy dealership in Anson TX which is like 20 miles from Abilene, with a population of like nothing.. I noticed VIN 1253 is from the dealership in Anson..

My question.. do ya'll think that Anson had separate allocations from Abilene, even though the same guy owns em? Or might I be lucky and the next Camaro from his dealership be me? I know I know, I'm impatient lol

I know I asked this earlier but does anyone know how many days it takes to build a camaro? I was also told that mine would be built this week. He (dealer) even gave me a start production date of 3/21/09.
