Has anyone else given a deposit and put on a build list yet?
I recently traded in my wifes 2010 SS and my 2011 and put a deposit at Paddock Chevrolet on the Z28.
I considered the zl1 but i already own a CTSV as my daily driver which i felt would have been redundant to say the least. Has anyone else placed an order or deposit and i am curious as to when production will start on the z28. None of my local dealers are getting an allocation for an order slot i think only select dealers will. |

I talked with 3 dealers and none of them will take a deposit until they now they have an allocation. Each dealer has a list of people they will be calling once price and allocations are announced but I am not giving anyone anything until I know I am getting what I want and how much I am paying for it.

And looks like until they make a street Z, I am out of the running for one. Been looking and thinking of going over to the darkside. |

You should already know production is planned for late 1st qtr 2014? Allocations will not be out until months from now but common sense says that only large, high-volume dealers will get Z/28's. Chevy has indicated multiple times this will be a limited-production car.

By the time allocations are set, and prices announced, many will already be spoken for. If the dealer has a large allocation of BOTH Camaro and Corvette, they'll certainly get allocation for Z/28(s). And those dealers, with a Mutually Acceptable Agreement, will honor them. That's how they got to be large in the first place. Many dealers will NOT get allocation(s). Some will get several. If they got early ZL1s, you're at the right place. If they didn't get a ZL1 until this calendar year, move along. Do your homework NOW. |

Wasn't something just posted recently that there will be 4000 Z/28s over a 2 year build?
There will be some available and I am willing to play the waiting game. In fact I kind of have too unless i want to sell my drag car as well (and that is not happening) |

4000 is a not-so-well-founded rumor. AL confirmed with Leno there'd be "1,500/yr." The vehicle will be built for less than 18 months.
What's that all mean? And there's 3,000+ Chev dealers. Some get several. Many get none. Be advised. |

For a car like this even 3,000 is a lot. Plus I think that the price will be high enough that anyone who wants one, and has the means to do so, will be able to get one no problem.

I've been considering the 1LE and adding Z/28 parts to it. Or a Z51.

I always scratch my head about these supposed "allocations". The OP did real good by going to Paddock. Another good dealer in western, NY would be Basil. These 2 dealers have no problem getting whatever car you want, whenever you need it. Way back when every Chevy dealer had these Camaro allocations only allowing 2 for each dealer (right when they first came out), I went down to Paddock and shot a video, and they had approximately 25 on their lot. They've sold a few COPO's as well.
