Harwood cowl hood prop strut question
Hi. I just mounted up my hood. Do any owners know if we can reuse the gas strut/prop rod?
I weighed both hoods and they are within a pound of each other. Harwood being the lighter one at 28lbs and some change. There’s even a hole where the ball for the strut attaches to. I’m thinking we can? Can anyone confirm? Btw It’s Goldilocks Awesome. Not too large, not too small, it’s just right. Last edited by Level300; 08-10-2018 at 02:34 PM. |

I also reused the factory strut rod. However, the threaded ball nut that was in my carbon fiber hood was very short on the threads for screwing into the hood, and it popped right out. I pulled the threaded ball out of my factory hood, screwed it in and never an issue.
Love my COPO style hood.....
