First off..yes the mustang offers a V6 performance package..which includes suspension/chasis tweaks and brakes (and maybe even gearing, but can't remember)

I created a poll with a thread on this a while back and there was good response for those who would like to see a V6 performance package.

Offer SS suspension, brakes, and slightly lower gearing and theres your package.

I also see the point of spending too much on the V6 when you could just get an SS, but who says the package has to only be for the expensive models. Offer it for the lower/mid range models also and now you have yourself a car that handles well and can dip into the 13s for mid to upper 20s. Can't complain about that.

A better less restrictive tune would be a good start. Better heat disapation (spacer) for that aluminum intake manifold (that thing is rediculously hot).
Not sure if you've been following the V6 bolt on section but we've just VERY recently seen manifold insulators come to the market and they are showing anywhere from 14 to 20 HP extra on the dyno. Good stuff!

Not suprised at all to see several "get a V8" responses already.

That's awesome man, wasn't sure if Tracy finished it up yet..good deal

Too me though, knowing how hot that thing gets and how heat affects performance, probably should of cam from the factory like that imop.

Tune in the v6 is a
So VERY restrictive stock even in sport mode.

For all you v6 haters the mod market is really starting to take off...cams, turbos, insulators, ported parts...things are looking good. With cams and turbo paired with ported intake and tb 600-700 hp isn't impossible and it is relatively cheap. Considering just the turbo is getting over 500.

The one thing I find ironic, is that the V6, with its wheel and tire options, can be made to look more "retro" than the ss!...and I love the retro part of the camaros.

The problem with trading in a V6 for a V8 is you will take a $5k hit on the trade in. If there was a nice upgrade package for the V6 like there is for the Mustang's a person could go with a kit and be $5k ahead of the game. $5k will almost buy you a turbo so once you have committed to a V6 I don't see any advantage to trading in for a V8 as far as the monetary end. If money is no option then yes go ahead and trade up to the V8. I know in the after market you can build your own kit but a package kit could be put together with some savings. I hope I am making sense here, lol.

I test drove a SS m6 out of curiosity and I was not impressed. I expected a giant 6.2L v8 to pull much harder than it did...

BUT

simple mods on SS and its a different car :<
