Question 2011 V6 6-Speed Manual Coupe

I'm interested in a 2011 V6 manual transmission that I came across. I realize that early V6 models had issues. Did it make a difference if they were auto versus stick or did they all have issues?

What about early manual transmissions versus later ones?

What other issues, regardless of engine and transmission, could a 2011 potentially have that later years would not?

Thank you.

Whats the mileage? Any service records? How dirty does the oil dipstick look? If the oil wasn't changed regularly nothing else was done either. Biggest trouble with these cars is they use oil and people don't check it regularly and before you know it bearings go bye bye.

I would hold off for a '12 to '15 LFX with auto which was the better trans/motor combo.

The '10-'11 sixes suffered from weak timing chains and all the manual V6 fifth gens had a Toyota trans with a bad rep - the Toy truck guys really hate it. Noisy, having to hold it in 2nd and 3rd gear, just generally sloppy over time.

You might get lucky or get the trans/chains/blend door trifecta.

It has approximately 70K miles.

I definitely want a manual, because my SS is automatic, but I hoped for the old style steering wheel.
Oh well, thanks anyway.

My car just clicked around to 93K. Of course the experience from 1 owner holds little weight, but I've had none of the problems mentioned above. Check the LLT/LFX subsections for more info on the engine issues. The LFX does have more HP.
