my 14ss that was at 80-90% build completion was stolen and I had a remote latching relay wired to my fuel pumps and a maintained pushbutton wired in series to my ignition (switch was where the 12vdc socket is and had it looking like a lighter),
anyway the cameras outside my house shows them getting into the garage and leaving with the car in 14 minutes. The car was totaled 5min from the house and was left at the scene, still wired up to the car was a portable ignition system and they wired it to my car in my garage in no time. just like the old saying, if someone wants it bad enough.....
anyway I got screwed by insurance cuz I was only covered for the stock car and because a victim was hurt at the accident the vehicle was impounded so I couldn't even take it home and swap parts out of it.
the 15ss that I am building now is gonna get a valve on the fuel line with a switch of course and something else that I haven't figured out yet......maybe a valve on the e-brake like linelock??

I go by "everything happens for a reason", maybe it saved my life???? the amount of money lost was pretty close to the price of buying a new one though lol

Sorry for your loss.

Brazen AF to break into your garage! I would have lost my mind and bust out my Glock.

I guess parking in a safe place is the best security option.

A long, long time ago a buddy of mine shared with me an idea that sounded good but I never went through with. A typical cheap alarm with the siren INSIDE the car (under the dash or passenger seat). Of course this wouldn't stop the advanced thief but drug crazed teenagers might be deterred.
