A6 ZL1 Build: 700+rwhp (Pic and Videos)
Hey guys! It's been awhile since I've posted anything on here. I've been pretty busy with my YouTube channel and just life in general. This forum took up a good bit of my time last year, but for a good reason. I spent months researching good mods and bad mods, what to do and what not to do, and I've learned so much about the car, so I want to thank all of you!
Here is the recent build by Andrew Weaver at Diablo Formula Racing: Kooks 1 ⅞ LT headers (ceramic coated) Kooks catless mid pipes Cold Air Inductions intake Elite Engineering catch can Metco 2.5 upper pulley Metco 100mm upper idler pulley Metco solid isolator Lingenfelter 8.66 lower pulley ATI Harmonic Balancer 8 rib HD Green Belt Injector Dynamics 850 NGK TR7 spark plugs Afco Heat Exchanger Lunati Voodoo cam Lunati dual valve springs, pushrods, etc 3 Bolt timing gear w/ 3 bolt lock Flex Fuel sensor for E85 The car previously put down 535rwhp/521rwtq with just headers, no cats, intake, and tune. The car now puts down 703rwhp/693rwtq on 50/50 93 octane and E85. With just 93 octane, it puts down 661rwhp/662rwtq. The transmission is also tuned. All tuning done by Jeremy Formato at Fasterproms. I am extremely happy with the car, and I already have plans for a ported blower, thermal reduction plates, and a few other little things. Here are the videos I did for the entire build and tune: Day 1: https://youtu.be/oIBragwacKw Day 2: https://youtu.be/d9dWXc8u7gA Day 3: https://youtu.be/DA60AmzrEvA Street Tune: https://youtu.be/LxdtbzWloQY Dyno Tune: https://youtu.be/xxoGQVFyJNc Subscribe to me on YouTube for more ridiculous videos!!

AFRs are on the lean side. No other fuel upgrade besides injectors?

Nope. I was told by Jeremy Formato, I was fine. I'm currently at 96,7% IDC with E85, so I'm just on the edge. I'll have to make some upgrades if I decide to do anything else.

Thanks man! Yeah he's definitely a wizard. My baseline pull was 645/612, and I left with 703/693, so I was pretty happy!

Very nice build! I too have seen a couple of your videos. I see no reason why you wouldn't run a very low 10...maybe 9s in the right conditions.

Injector duty cycle is important, however, fuel pressure would be of equal if not more important issue running E85. Every build that I've seen on E85 has not only upgraded injectors but also the fuel pump as well. I'd be curious to know what your fuel pressures were on the E85 pull.

Love the channel and of course the build, but I can't browse Camaro5 and watch the latest video at the same time lol. Glad to see Mike made good on the bet and was awesome to see what y'all did for those kids. Guaranteed they will not forget that.

Ya it is a pretty great channel to watch. Love seeing you dominate your buddies whips with the ZL1. We have a pretty similar build with our cars, and mine, like yours, is a rocket.
