I'll keep waiting. My wife has a CAI on her SS and it is great. Great product and it looks good! The wait is no problem as long as the fit and function is quality work.

I to will keep waiting for you/it to become available. And of course post numbers of what we can expect. I personally feel it's like the saying "measure twice and cut once". The longer you take hopefully the better the outcome is. Mine is away for the winter, as with many others that live in colder areas, so a lot of them aren't going anywhere to begin with.

I will wait in anticipation for your results. As a previous customer for my SS, was very pleased with the product and look forward to the new option for my Z.

I demand perfection and a top quality product....sometimes that takes time and I can appreciate that.

Picked my ZL1 vert up at the dealer Saturday and took it straight home where it will mostly just sit in the garage until winter is over. Had your intake on my SS and have no problem waiting for this one to get done.

I still haven't purchased a CAI but am in the market for one and have been patiently waiting for at least 3 product offerings to choose from. I like the ROTO-FAB but heard about this product from CAI a long time ago as well as the K&N intake which I saw recently and like as well. Honestly, I'll continue to wait until all 3 are released which should be within the next 60 days as they all offer "no-tune" performance gains. The best performing product will get my money (looks are secondary).

Just my $.02 but maybe those who have been patient waiting for this product can get a nice GROUP BUY going as a way of saying "THANK YOU"

Your'e kidding...right? Loved my CAI on my 2010 RS but like others, gave up and went with the Roto Fab. It is a good looking product but I liked the looks of the CAI better.
I gave up when CAI started threatening that they were going to withhold information from us as some sort of punishment. Yea right. My money spent just fine with Roto Fab.

1. No one is threatening to "withhold information", we simply do not want to give lead time estimates to customers when we know that there is a lot of our process that is out of our control and can take longer than we expect. People were getting upset when "anticipated lead times" were being given and then changing, so we decided to not say anything until it is done.

2. And as far as "information" goes, we are doing something with this CAI that is extremely unique and has not been done before, so are we going to release details about it so our competitors can scoop up that information and use it with a competing product before we have protected it and released it, no of course not.

3. You already bought a Roto-Fab, that's great and I hope you are very happy with it. That being said, please leave this thread for those who are still waiting for our CAI to be released and want to stay informed. We would like this thread to stay in a positive manner for those who are waiting and excited to get our CAI for their ZL1.

No, tested and back to us from the 3rd party. Now we are testing something completely different and we are actually building the testing mechanism in house, which if people saw it would be amazed. It's very cool, supplies us with a lot of information, and there is nothing else like it in this industry. It will allow us to design and test new products in the future at a much faster pace than we had to do with this CAI, which we are very excited about!

To all following this thread, we are making a lot of progress and are well aware that many of you are waiting for our CAI for your ZL1 which we appreciate very much. After this much anticipation on your end, we want to ensure that we give you something that we are completely 110% satisfied with. We should be releasing details as well as offer a pre-order option for members of this forum soon, and when we do you guys will be the first to hear about it!
