Well, I received my first big "additional" cost to the restoration, I found out rad support and both front inner fenders are junk. $400 dollars later we are back in business! I should have some pictures in the very near future.

Ok, car is stripped down and on the lift. So far I have bought a new rad support 125, two "new" inner fenders from a guy 100, a pair of full length rocker panels 118, a drivers side mid length floor pan 100, and a passenger side toe board, 45. Approximately 500 in new tin.

I sure loved those small back windows in the early 2nd gens. seeing your pics brought back some memories. I've had a few cars in that condition and put back on the road. at my age I don't envy the work ahead of you but I totally get it.

Good news,
I found a numbers correct engine over the weekend in Ohio ($550). The block, heads, intake, harmonic balancer are all coded for a March-April 1970 Camaro. I tore it apart already and I am sending the block out to get cleaned and checked.

I also swung south on my way home through Pittsburgh and grabbed two brand new inner fenders for $100 bucks, so I was pleased with that.

Lastly, I found a TH400 locally for $400 bucks. I know it is from a 70, but let's hope the numbers/codes match up.

Curious how the progress is going on this build. Been about a year now. Any updates? Pics?
