Having just offed my 13 2LS for a new 14 1LT (2.92 gears vs 3.27), I can say it feels like a very nice improvement!

3.27/2.92= 1.119 (~ a 12% torque multiplication gain)

You 2LS guys that don't want to do a full SS rear end swap, and can't do 3.55's because they don't fit the 2LS gear carrier, and don't want to be an LT trim carrier to install them should consider looking for someone's used take out 3.27 center section... They can be found pretty cheap usually because "no one really wants them"... It's a nice improvement that will bolt right in.

As soon as I get my install complete for my ss diff swap I will be selling my 3.27 differential and all the other parts taken off (axles and hubs)

RacnJsn95, Maybe you can answer my question posed on this post?

To my knowledge, it looks like you have everything, minus the diff... at least one person has reported the SS driveshaft was not needed? Not sure on that one.

Yeah BlackoutLFX was one of those. He did the swap on his 2LS and reported it wasn't needed.

My shop finally got the parts in from GM, and I'm heading in for the swap to 3.91 at the end of this month.

The SS driveshaft was not needed on my car/2ls...It is too short. Parts I needed: SS axles, SS hubs, SS differential(complete unit). Everything bolted up perfectly...

All I needed was the back half of the shaft for mine.

That's weird. You'd think if anybody needed the back half of an SS axle it would be those of us with the 2LS's 7.6IRS. What was the reason the back half was needed? Is the drive shaft with the 1LS/1LT/2LT different as well?
