For a retro styled car, I always thought they should have used the "horseshoe" shifter for the automatic. I've always liked the look. I don't like the picture above in the 5th gen, though. It should be flat with the P R N D L on the top like the original.

You can access the set screw by removing the plastic cover. The CFD shifter uses the same set screw hole to make the shifter mech work. You simply push the knob down to select gears.

Looks like part of one of those can crushers in the backyard for recycling. Nah, stands out like a sore thumb - I'm all for honoring the classics, but it belongs there and nowhere else.

not sure. but I would be happy with a champagne glass shifter like I had in my 77 firebird. current one looks like a nut sack!
