GM has a TSB for the broken output shaft for M10

This bulletin just came out on Jan 11, 2011. It just states to call GM tech assistance center. I'll keep you guys posted.

#PIP4666E: Vehicle Not Moving In Any Gear - (Jan 11, 2011)

Subject:Vehicle Will Not Move In Any Gear

Models:2010 Chevrolet Camaro
Equipped With The Tremec 6-Speed Manual Transmission RPO M10

This PI was superseded to update the keywords. Please discard PIP4666D.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Customer may comment that the vehicle will not move in any gear. Technicians may find the transmission output shaft broken.

Recommendation/Instructions:

If a vehicle comes into the dealer with the concern described above please contact the General Motors Technical Assistance Center at xxx-xxx-xxxx (USA) or xxx-xxx-xxxx (Canada), TAC will supply further instructions at that time.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

Version E, it's been out for a long time.

I'd be more impressed if it stated the cause, and to repair the customer's car without hassle or blame on mods/tuning.

i have done the launch control a few times before I put her away for the winter. Looks like I might have a GOOD OUTPUT shaft.

I can't wait until spring so I can get her out of the garage and start driving her again. When I open the garage door and she see's all that snow out there, she flashes her lights, like she wants to go out and play in it. But i won't let her.........Soon....Soon...lol

I run mine out in the snow, its fun stuff, plus I only have an LS M6 V6, but after all the snow playtime I always take her to the car wash and give her a nice long 10-15 bath especially concentrating on the undercarriage

how do you figure? it's a TSB... it HAS NOTHING to do with your warranty. hell, even orange chevy got his replaced with nitrous, skinnies, and dr's on.

it covers ALL vin's.

To break it down barney style, if you have said problem, GM will fix it.

The question is, after how many transmissions will GM say enough.... I have a feeling that I'm going to find out... lol.
