LG Motorsports, So who are these guys?

Bit of History...

We have been around the board for some time now, and while a few of you are getting to know us from our great camshaft and header packages you might also know that we are developing a nice line of suspension products among other things for the new Camaro's.

Where do we come up with our ideas for these products like our cam designs and suspension systems? Over years and years of testing, building, and racing our own cars.

President Lou Gigliotti has been building his own race cars and developing high end components since the late 1970's.

A quick photo history through the years.......

1970's

Early 1970's TR3

Early 1970's TR3

Datsun 510

1974 Pole and lead at Mosport 1974

SuperV class

1980's

1988 Corvette Challenge

1988 Corvette Challenge

1989 Corvette Challenge

1989 Corvette Challenge

1990's

1991 Firehawk series at Addison, TX GP

1991 SCCA TransAm

1994 SCCA World Challenge

1994 SCCA World Challenge at Road Atlanta

1996 LG Motorsports Saleen/Allen SCCA/IMSA Mustang

1998 TransAm
*Yes we actually ran a Mustang for a few years, and built the cars for Saleen/Allen during the mid '90's and because of our car brought the championship home for LG Motorsports and two manufacture championships to Saleen for 1996 and 1997

2000's

1999 TransAm

2004 World Challenge

2005 SCCA World Challenge

2007 Forza Speed TV series

2007 World Challenge at Charlotte

2008-2009 American LeMans GT2

GT2 Corvette entered into NCM

2010-today

2010 GrandAM GT

2010 GrandAM GT

2010-2011 Spectre 341 Winning ZR1

2010-2011 Spectre 341 Winning ZR1

During our intro into the SCCA World Challenge season with our 4th generation Camaro's demand grew and grew for more of what we built for our own cars. This started the ZR28 package and the first lines of customer race parts for the street with underdrive LT1 pullies, ground effects and the first line of custom built G2 coil over packages. During this and the Corvette Challenge season was the start of the official 'LG Motorsports' as you know it today.

During these years we have developed products for 3rd and 4th generation Camaro/Firebirds, C5 and C6 Corvette, SN 95 Mustang and others.

You can catch the ALMS GT2 Corvette now in the Corvette Museum as the only privately ran Corvette in the GT2 class.

Know that when you purchase LG Motorsports products, that you have a shop that has decades of experience behind them to stand behind you and your project. We have spent our time breaking the parts so you do not have to.

Ford came to Lou with a heck of a sponsor deal during that time, once we were done, Saleen bought all 5 cars and ran them for a few more seasons. Not sure where all of them ran off to, but I know of one that is still being used as a track car here in the DFW area.

Steve Saleen lost the bet in 1996, at the awards banquet Lou cut off Steve's pony tail after his bet with him of winning the championship that year. .......we won the championship that year, both driver and manufacturer for Saleen

I'm trying to find a picture of the car, but in 1992 we had the the most wins ever in a single season for a driver in SCCA and also for Camaro with just over 75% of the races that year, and of course locked up the championship.
