DIY: DSX Flex Fuel Sensor Install
Just got my flex fuel sensor installed from DSX. Only takes a few minutes.
Step 1: Disconnect the battery Step 2: Disconnect the fuel line going to the fuel rail and install the sensor. I used the passenger side near the brake block. The wiring harness plugs into the coil pack then back into the factory harness. Step 3: Unplug the computer harness (one closest to the radiator). One is wrapped in grey electrical tape, one is wrapped in black, you want the one wrapped in black. Step 4: Pop off the face of the harness using a small screwdriver Step 5: Pop off the back side of the harness and cut the factory zip tie to separate the wires. Step 6: Find pin 40, remove the factory hole cover, I just pushed it through using the small screwdriver. Then install the white wire from the DSX harness into pin 40 making sure the pin is clicked in. Step 7: Throw on a new zip tie, Click the front and back of the harness together, reconnect the computer, and reconnect the battery.

So now you can run E85, but don't you need to tune the car for it? I'm foggy on how this works.

Great write up BigMatt! I hope it was as easy as you thought it would be. Those fittings make a world of difference. |

Which part? The fuel line part or the electric? I can try to get a better pic for you.

It was super easy to install. Hardest part for me was finding pin 40. If i had to install this kit again i could do it in 5 minutes.

Injectors and pump really depend on your power level. You'll typically at least want to upgrade injectors to something bigger.
It's best to install the sensor, then go for a tune. |

Fairly stock right now. Ported TB, Z/28 Headers, and Z/28 Intake.
So will a set of ZL1 injectors and pump be sufficient? So a your sensor, a tune, injectors, and a pump?
