PERHAPS YOU SHOULD SEND A PM TO DSXTUNING, HE IS A VERY REPUTABLE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE VENDOR HERE ON THE SITE THAT DEALS WITH THIS SORT OF THING. ALTHOUGH I WOULD HAVE TO WONDER WHY YOU WOULDN'T DO FLEX FUEL AND AT LEAST HAVE THE ABILITY TO RUN 93 OCTANE IF YOU WANTED/NEEDED TO, AND RUN FULL E85 WHEN YOU DON'T. SEEMS LIKE CHEAP INSURANCE TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE COVERED IF YOU EVER NEED TO LEAVE YOUR AREA AND E85 ISN'T AN OPTION.

Don't think the stock fuel pump will work. Have to go with at least a zl1 pump and have the fpcm reprogrammed. DSXTuning is the guy to talk to just like the post above said. I ran on e85 only for about a month with a blower, zl1 pump, 1000cc injectors, and reprogrammed fpcm. Then went to a flex fuel set up and tune.

According to DSX, on a NA build doing an E85 conversion will only require upgraded injectors, to that of the LSA. The fuel pump shouldn't need to be touched.

DOnt waste your money on e85 while N/A. All that cost for maybe 10 hp, nothing can justify that, unless he’s going boosted later.

Basically what he said if your not meth alky boosted through the roof its a case of why bother for a few hp and a loss of mileage badly....Not much e-85 round here partner.....Might see it on one of them fancy big city clean air bus or something...LOL but flex fuel vehicles there around in some government fleet vehicles.

Unless your running it out of a barrel, do a flex fuel conversion. E85 from the pump varies on ethanol %. I see anywhere from 60-75% depending on the station. can be as low as 55% it think. Basically what im saying is that if you tune on 85% and then run 60% and the same tune the car may not run as well.

Really? It's a cheap mod once you figure most people are doing a lot of the upgrades already. Hell, with e85 being almost s dollar cheaper it comes out enter price per mile than 93

The new 6th gens seem to love e85 and with the right tune, even NA, they gain some good power. For me, I have a boosted 5th Gen and with my mods, e85 was by no means a cheap mod. Just the fuel pump (Fore Innovations Triple) and fuel system cost $2000. That doesn’t include labor or tune.

There is about 30 foot pounds of torque under the curve. Its not all about peek numbers. My set up made 473/476 Bolt ons and 1.85 rockers with E85.

in that sense you are right but where I live alone I have 6 e85 stations within a 10 mile radius
and my surrounding citys also have a lot of e85 stations so getting out of the county is still doable plus I rarely drive this car that far when I am going far I usually trailer it to a track or drive my daily beater 05 prius lol

there is other perks than just peak HP the gasoline runs a lot cooler thru the engine, more timing, more torque, cheaper price, easier to get for me atleast..
