its all good i know i came across probably as jealous or salty or however you like to say it, but no I am excited for everyone that has an opportunity to call this car their own. I love mine, I had a 03 Civic that i bought at the end of 03, it was used, and I have been wanting a different car for a long time and then i heard these were coming back and when i saw it in Transformers i was like damn i gotta get that. I didnt know for sure how or when but I started saving. But I know that some people make good decisions in life so i was curious that at 19 what could you do to afford this expensive of a car. I know i've spent money on lots of dumb stuff like 150$ sneakers ( i collected them for several years) but now i'm tryin to sell some of them cause i got about $5k worth of brand new shoes that i'd like to sell to apply to my car loan and my student loans.

I told him if he has at least 20,000 saved up I will pay the reamiaing...

He told me he wants a 2LT RS with manual tranny and RJT like his pops...

Lol so I am ok with my 16 year old having the V6 hack I would be happy with him have a V8 as long as he payd for it but he said thats too much power for him lol...

So I told him as longs as he works his butt off that I would pay what was left from what he had...
I just want to say good job to your son for deciding to work towards one. By the time he's 16, the car should be less than $20,000 though. That's close to three years away, and even at a two minimum, the 2012 model should be out.
You might want to think about an automatic though. Manual's might be hard to work wit hat first. I know my commute to school would be hell if I had a manual, but to each his own. If he works for it, he should get whatever he wants.

Haha.
I live about the same distance from my school, I've just got hills to work with to get there. A manual would not have been good if I rolled back into another car or I stalled while going up.

I know that too!!!...way to go, Ant!!!...very proud of you...

I bought every car I've ever owned with MY OWN $$$...

My parents raised us to take care of our own financial responsibilites and that is truly a "gift" to pass on to your children...

I have done that with my 2 sons as well...I always told them that even if my husband and myself were "millionaires"(which we will NEVER be...lol..), we would still teach them to pay their own bills and buy their own cars, etc...

My Dad always taught me that I would value and appreciate something that I worked hard for and paid for myself...I might not have agreed at the time, but I do "get it" now and so do my kids...

That is why I am so very impressed with the many "younger" Camaro buyers out there that are working hard and paying for their own cars with their own $$$...

Just a side note: my uncle bought my cousin a "brand new sports car" at the very young age of 16, and he totalled it within a week........not saying that happens to all kids, but think about it....he didn't have to worry about getting another new car if he wrecked the first because he had his Dad to just buy him another...........

Seriously the color is amazing... The chevy build your camaro site sucks compared to the actual car.
