No sense going to the 6th Gen forum and arguing who has the better car. Only 1800 people can own a 5th Gen Z/28, but anyone can order a 1Le. Chevy will make thousands of them. So what.

Both are good cars - Z/28 is a rare beast and a very special car. Those of us who are lucky enough to have one fully realize that the Z is much more than the sum of its parts.
The fact that so few Z/28's exist adds to there appeal as well. I could not resist after reading thread jumping in and making a few comments! One 1LE SS owner called the Z nothing more than Lipstick on a Pig - that has got to be the most uninformed statement ever on the Z! Last edited by Supercup; 12-10-2017 at 11:57 AM. |

My daily is a Prius but my husband and I are looking to buy a Camaro. We are looking at the 2018 ZL1 1LE or 2017 ZL1 (if we can add the aero stuff). My son is the proud owner of a 2015 Z28 so we know about it

Nice of you to try to bring attention to the thread on Gen 6. to see you got jumped on both places. Glad to hear your son has a Z and hope you find the right ZL1 to meet you and your husbands needs! |

Gen 6 forum = biased.
People describing the Z/28 being "too rough for daily driving" are really trying to say they want to drive a Cadillac, LOL. |

Me too! Two examples of the best performance pony cars from GM in 45 years Not really sure what a gen six SS w 1LE has to do with a gen 5Z, unless you're looking simply at price point.

Yes, the Z/28 is much more exclusive. So exclusive, that it dropped 30k in value in 3 years. I kid. Really the 2014 Z/28 and 1LE were what started my interest in the Camaro. Why bicker between family?
