Well it seems My good buddy PQ is much better and guesstimating how much gas is in his tank than I am...

Apparently he was able to run his camaro out of gas within walking distance to a gas station.....

He didn't need to call onstar...

On a ride with a AAA tow truck driver when my wife's car broke down, the driver was telling us stories of some of his more interesting calls......

Somebody called AAA to bring them gas.....

the car was in the parking lot of a gas station / convenience store

Most gas stations will only SELL a gas can - I ran out of gas a few years back, 100 yards from the station. They SOLD me a 1 gal. can for $9.99

When I went back and asked to return the car, they said, no way... I took the can and drove another two miles to another station and fueled there

At least by calling AAA, the 1 gal of gas was free

the pump is fine... you just took some life off of it.

You really should try to keep it at a 1/4 of a tank... Fuel pumps use the fuel in the tank as coolant so they run much hotter when the tank is below 1/4....

but you should be fine... It's kinda like smoking...

It will die when it dies...

But, I guess if you don't have gas in the tank at all you don't have to worry????

So it was late in the day yesterday and on my way home my HUD displays low on fuel and this thread reminds me to go get gas as i don't want to be like PQ, Normally i will go home and get gas in the morning on the way to work, But thinking of joining a club of only two members is not what i want to do.

So, now that there are two, which one of you is going to create the, "I Ran Out Of Gas In My Camaro Anonymous" thread?

There should probably be coffee, donuts, and a few self-help pamphlets available upon request
