How loud are your brakes?

Hey guys.

I know that our brakes squeal, but I'm curious how loud and how often it happens for everyone. Mine has been squealing bad and it happens after about 5 minutes of driving (after they heat up). Funny thing, I figured that I should burnish them in again so I did about 30 reps, and they got quiet again. But they started squeaking again after about 20 minutes. I'm used to race pads, but it's getting a little annoying. Have any of you tried doing anything to quiet them? I bought the car about 4 months ago with 3,000 miles. I've done one track day and one autox since. Maybe I should change the pads. They are most likely the original pads, but maybe the original owner changed them. If I do change pads, what are your suggestions? Stock AC Delco? Thanks!

I have some squeaking now. I'm at 8200 miles.

After many track days and one replacement set of pads (OEM), mine are nearly silent and continue to be quiet.

Random squealing here. So far only used OEM pads, 2nd set front and rear at 7K miles.

Mine only make noise when I have to drive down a dirt road and they get really dusty. Maybe one day Oklahoma will decide to fix a road when it goes to hell instead of just ripping out the pavement and putting down gravel.

1800 miles here and they are a bit noisy. I don't ever use a hose to wash my car however.

Occasional squealing noises around town when driving. Once they are hot, no issues. I have been able to put one track day (four sessions) on them.

Guys, a good tip for reducing squealing (I won't say eliminating but it does help) is a small amount of copper grease or graphite grease on the back face of the pad, where the pistons contact the pad.

Don't overdo it as you don't want the grease getting hot and dripping onto your rotors, but a thin smear helps the prevent noise between the piston and pad.

I believe that the Brembo pads ship with a pad attached to the rear of the pad? The pads that I have did at least.
