does the visibility restriction bother you?
had a friend complaining today saying he test drove a camaro and found the lack of great visibility a "real problem." i have test driven them several times and i got very used to it, with the exception of a poor driver's side blind spot. what do you think compared to other cars you have driven? do you have any problems with the visibility? do you think it is a "real problem?"

No i absolutely love it. If you set your mirrors right, your GOLDEN. And trust me, you get used to it pretty quickly

Trying to back out of a spot is incredibly difficult; especially if the spot is angled and its a heavy traffic area. I wouldn't let an inexperienced driver behind the wheel but thats my personal comfort level.
While driving there's no issues. |

The first one I bought, was purchased without ever test driving one. Took about a week to feel comfortable driving it. Now two cars and two years later, it's like second nature ...

Backing out of a spot is a completely different story. I need to get that rear view camera mod done. |

At first the visibility was different, but once you get used to it and adjust your mirrors, it's all good. I am even 6'4".

I have no problem at all on roads. Only parking lots. When going in reverse, the large c pillars are big enough to hide a car traveling perpendicularly to you. However, if you have ever driven a truck or SUV, you typically start backing out blind because your car is so long anyway...
The other issue I have is seeing curbs when parking. It is about impossible to see curbs around your passenger side front wheel. I can adjust my mirror to see my rear wheels so I always back into spots with a curb on one side, so that mostly solves that problem. Just take your time while parking and you'll be fine.

Compared to other vehicles I've driven- the Camaro visibility is poor.
However, as others have said- use your mirrors correctly and you'll be fine. Only a couple scenarios are difficult that I can imagine- one someone mentioned (backing up) and another I know will be a pain is making a U turn under a highway and yielding to cars coming your way.

Visibility is not a problem. Love the style and with mirrors set I can see all I need to.
