Black all the way! Love the way it looks, but it sure is hard to keep clean.. Totally worth it IMO.

i was set on black or ibm. until I saw IOM !! cant beat how good this car looks in the sun, and how many heads it turns. Whenever I'm at a show people come up to me and say this is the nicest color.
I vote IOM, but either way you will be getting an awesome new ride.

I agree with a lot of the others. Black is very nice looking, but like I just told my cousin, expect to spend a lot of time or money maintaining it. when clean black is awwesome, when dirty or swirled... not so much. My son has a little black Yaris with an appearance package (Onyx) on it. He spends hours cleaning it and stresses over the marks etc. And its just a Yaris!
I have always loved the Dodge orange and I am sure the IOM is just as good looking. I have not seen one in person yet!

How many orange cars are on the road?

I had the same dilemma as you have right now, torn between orange and black. Picked orange because it stands out and is easier to clean. I love black too, I have a black truck so a part of me wanted something different. You really can't go wrong with either color because they are both amazing and suit this car very well. My guess is it will probably come down to how anal you want to be with the cleaning... good luck.

Thank you ALL!! This has really helped me, as i did forget how hard it is to keep a black car clean. I had a black car about 8 years ago, and me and my sister would spend hours washing it every weekend before going out for a "cruise". The black is sexy, but how sexy will it be if I don't wash it with immense frequencies??? I saw a dirty black Camaro on the beltway one day, and I just wanted to wash it for the owner . I don't want to be that type of owner..I also know that when I get my Camaro, I am going to want to spend more of my time driving it than obsessing over cleaning it everytime I see dust. I think my heart and my personality is telling me to go with IOM. I am going to do some window shopping this weekend and see if I can find some dealers that have both combinations, just so I can bring this decision to a close as far as color. Now that the 2011 info is posted, I want to be ready to order by June and maybe get it in time for my birthday in November.
I appreciate all the comments, the support, the links to other threads, and best of all the pics!!!!! |

skip the gm 21's and get an aftermarket set with the money you save. or a 2SS.
I'm kidding. Get what you want. of the 2, I would get black with orange. I don't fancy IOM. |

True that but with the loud orange it might be the wrong impression. I like the IO but for me I would rather a black car b/c taking clients out in the visually loud orange may be a bit much. just my 2 cents , what I like , not what you should like.

I love black on most cars. On the camaro though, it seems to hide some of the lines of the car. Take a look at one coming in the opposite direction on the interstate. It's hard to tell that it is even a camaro until it gets pretty close. For this camaro (my opinion), the lighter colors show off more of the sexy curves and you can see it coming from a mile away.

Black has to be one of the most wet/prettiest/highly reflective colors out there. But if you don't clean your car often its definitely not for you. You also have to weigh pros and cons..swirl-marks,rock-chips and the smallest blimish of dirt shows up on black...easy but not with orange. If you don't keep black clean when its dirty or even mildly dusty your black wont look black, it'll look brown or grey because its covered in dirt. If you don't have a garage or time to clean often get orange. I got s.I.m. because dirt doesn't show easy on the paint...black is another story.
