I've kinda wondered this as well... my vin is 9691 and I have 480 whp, drag radials and no issues so far. I haven't run it with the radials, but prolly 20 times prior with the P Zeros.

Sent from my EVO 4G

Did RPM rebuild the broken one or start over with a different one? what was the cost, and was there a Core charge?

I have been thinking of getting a spare tranny to sit on the shelf so I have one ready to swap in when I break it.

It's not IF I break it.. It's when. It will break it at some point... Car is too heavy not to.

I broke mine at lsx shootout, and bought the new transmission there. They did have a core charge, but I just gave them my broken tranny when I got it out and put the new one in at the track. At least I didn't have to pay any shipping charges. Once you have a built trannsmisson you shouldn't need one setting on a shelf.

My car is 21039. I was outside the hold number from GM. I'm still a little skeered as to wether or not mine will deside to let go. I've got just under 30k on it with no issues and I drive the hell out of it. Just under 500 hp now too. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info so far guys! Keep it coming, need as much data as possible to come to any conclusion! So far the VIN's in the 5000-10000 range seem to be the most affected! But then again this is a very small sample of respondants so we'll see! If there are any other sources of information on this please let me know so I can research it! Thanks!

Thanks! I'll try another search!

Edit: I just completed a search and compiled a list if all the VIN's I could find! I edited my first post with the list. So far 2 groups of VIN's are emerging: 5000-10000 and 13000-19000.
