Jealous of all the high HP builds! While I'm still at a measly 470 rwhp I'm starting down the right path, just ordered my 9 inch kit from Gforce! This will be a great foundation to build on in the future!

Put it this way, i have been trying so hard to break the Gforce 35 spline S-trac diff, axles and aluminum DS, I broke my motor it appears. I have about 2000 miles on the rear end and axles, drive shaft and everytime i took the car out i would basically test it out with my right foot and a ton of boost. Well it looks like my injector to the #5 cylinder gave out and the cylinder went lean. See the "up in a cloud of smoke conclusion" thread in the forced induction section.

At least before the Gforce stuff went in i would be a little easier on the right foot. I dumped about 4 gallons of methanol into the motor trying to break the GForce equipment.....no luck! Thank God i had my new LSX 427 being built. I place the order a month ago knowing this stock bottom end was not going to survive my experiment. Should go in in about 2 months....1000RWHP. Look out then GForce....damn you!!!!!:mad02 60:

Love the new GForce diff, axles and aluminum driveshaft, had it All up to 140mph and 6500-6800 rpm about 5 or 6 times in the last month testing it all out.....no issues! Enjoy with confidence.

Heres a link to the up in smoke thread.....lots of good pics and vids of my cylinder walls/pistons

Nice to see the Gforce equipment holding up to the abuse! Top notch stuff! Are you running all that power through a stock manual tranny?!

Come down after you get off work this week, you can see us make your parts.
35 spline inner stubs are finishing up on the lathe Tuesday and then they go to the spline operation. It's pretty neat to see.
Jason will probably be welding up your housing about Wednesday.

Happens all the time, give a lead foot a bullet proof rear and he ends up popping his motor trying to break it LOL

I'll have to come down and check the car out when you get the new engine in it.

Thanks
Chris

Jim,

You dont have any gear whine or anything like that do you? We have Strange build the pumpkins for us including setting the gears up.
It costs more but that way we dont have to worry about screw ups and gear noise

Thanks
Chris

Chris, i was aware of gear whine before this install and it was one of the things i really paid attention to. These strange 3.50 gears were OEM quiet and very smooth. I only noticed a very very slight gear hum when letting off the gas and coasting under no load. It was actually quite a pleasant sound. I found myself doing it quite regularly just to listen to the rear end sing to me Does that make sense?
With any sort of load on the gears it was very quiet. Could not hear anything above the exhaust.

MAN, I NEED TO GET THE NEW 427LSX INSTALLEDI miss driving this beast.

Chris, I will try and drop in today or tomorrow evening. The wait is killing me! I'm still hoping to get it installed and broke in properly before the True Street Shootout May 5th at KID! Then I have another race May 11th!

Thanks for coming by today Brad, I love showing off how we machine our splines.
As you know since your in the aerospace industry, machined splines are the most precise way to spline a part.
There is absolutley no strength difference in rolled vs machined splines. There has been countless aerospace studies to support that.

Your housing at the powder coaters so you missed seeing it.

Thank YOU Chris! You know me, as an Aerospace Equipment Technician I love looking at all the behind the scenes stuff such as machinery, processes and materials! Everything looked great! Being in the Air Capital of the world does have its advantages!!!

I can't wait to get this bad ass setup under the Car! You always knew I was gonna cave and buy a 9 inch setup eventually didn't you Chris?!
