#230 Goes to Dealer for Major GM Testing!!

Well #230 (Bee Bee) is going in today. GM is having computers hooked to her and they are taking her for 0-60 runs. They want to see everything that is going on with her. The have what is called at TAC case going on her and said they are going to get her going right.

If they rest of you with issues would go have a TAC case open on your car not doing good at 0-60 they may do the same for you and get us all a fix. My dealer said it he wants to get this fixed as he knows it is not right and said he will make it right for me.

Thanks John F. for getting this moving for me.

Sounds like the first step to some good news coming down the pike. At least they own up to the issues and are investigating them for a potential fix.

... and guess what? You didn't have to spend a dime at a Dyno or Track.

But you never got to GM themselves did you? Just the Dealer. My note from GM said take the car to a reptable dealer in the service department type thing.

Like I told all of you GM themselves said open a TAC case on the issue, this is key part!!! Normal dealer looking at codes will show nothing so the dealer does nothing. My firmware and programming on the car is all current as of 1 month ago. That does not mean there is not an issue just because the computer is throwing a code. Could be a bad computer.

I am really glad to hear it. Sounds like they are finally owning up to the problem. Suprisingly enough, they didn`t have to be dragged kicking and screaming the whole way. That is definetly good news.

John Fitzpatrick, Scott (Fbodfather), Cheryl and all of GM have been great to our family. And I know it is 1st year car issues, have I gotten mad at times yes. But I am sure if they did not have the bankruptcy thing going on they would of been on this quicker. Everyone had mandatory vacation the last 2 weeks.

GM Rocks and will fix the issues for us if we follow what they ask.

Yes, we did get to GM. Tech Case #10922134. They said the car was running mid to low 5 second 0 to 60 times which is totally untrue.

Did they hook a computer up to it and when they did the runs and send the info to GM? Also that is a Tech case, not a TAC case. They told me they are different things. This TAC stuff is going on as part of the launch of a new vehicle.

This is great news for you. And hopefully this will provide important information that can be used on other cars.

But I can see one problem. I have a feeling every L99 owner that "thinks" their car isn't running as fast as it should (0-60mph) is going to run to their dealer and open up a case (which they have every right to do).

I wonder what instructions GM will give dealerships as far as a quick test to really find the cars that need the help.

My point is, where will GM set the bar?
A car that runs 7.0+ sec 0-60mph?
A car that runs 6.0+ sec 0-60mph?
A car that runs 5.5+ sec 0- 60mph?

Because I can't see GM testing and attempting to fix every car that doesn't run 4.7 - 5.0 sec 0-60mph.

This could get real interesting. I can't wait to find out what's up with your
car.

LOL after reading this I saw images of the 6 million dollar man (or 6 million dollar bee bee)....

"Bee Bee, Camaro. A car barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild her. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's best L99 Camaro. Bee bee will be that car. Better than she was before. Better, stronger, faster."

Good luck with everything!
