TSP Roller Rocker Arms

Thinking about adding these when I do my cam swap. Anybody using these? Thoughts?

Personally, I would prefer to have bushings than needle bearing trunnions.

HP wise, I think you will gain more from the slightly increased ratio than you will from the roller tip. But either way, I don't think you should expect much.

The main benefit from these is decreased wear on the valve guides and tips with higher lift cams.Especially beneficial with aftermarket guides.

What lift is your cam going to be? .600 and under the stock rockers with upgraded trunions work great. And unless porting, flow... determines you need that much lift... .600 is plenty especially on stock heads.

The higher the lift you go above .600 the more you should really consider a roller tip. You can get away with maybe .625 and a hair more... if you are regularly inspecting.

It's all about a matched package... what will your heads flow, match the cam to that flow, match the valvetrain to that lift and rpm range.

A roller tip gives you an exact ratio. A non roller tip is...kinda 1.7ish.

The beauty of the stock rocker is the light tip. If you don't need to hang a steel wheel out there, you don't want to. The drawback is limited lift and non precise ratio. Close PTV situations, you want precise.

So what did you finally go with?

TSP Rockers and TSP VVT 3.2?

1/4 mile results?

If my friend calculated right, the 1.72:1 TSP rockers with TSP VVT 3.2 cam actually makes intake valve lift .657.

Now bad!

I ran 7.7 1/8 and 11.9 1/4 with a crap MAF only tune.

This was leaving at idle, TC on and all season street tires.

Once I get a real tune, it should get quicker.
