Vette Owners......How Do You Like Your HUD System?

I think is will be nice to have the HUD as part of the Camaro 2SS package for 2011.

How well do you Vette owners with HUD like yours? I have only seen pictures of them in the Vettes.

What makes them so attractive?

Is this a high dollar add-on for the Vette or is it standard, and how much do you think it adds to the cost of the Vette or the new Camaro?

Love the HUD in the 09 Vette. It should be standard or availble on all cars IMHO. It was part of an option package so I am not sure exactly how much it would cost as an individual option. A great driving and safety device. You never have to take your eyes off of the road to check speed or directions on the Navigation.

I've seen/used the HUD when I worked for GM - drove many Cadi's before they ever saw the showroom. It takes getting used to - learning to look "through" it, but I did like the features and being able to keep my eyes on the road for most things...The cars then had a "contrast" where you could turn it up or make it invisible.

I liked it...wouldn't retrofit my SS for it though...

I love it at night. Since I wear polarized Ray Ban's, it's tough to see during a sunny day.

It is cool, though.

I love it because I don't have to look down at the dash when I want to rev out each gear.

Its the best ever. Wish gm put it on all their cars. Its really great especally at the track, can keep an eye on my RPMS and speed while going through a corner and never have to take my eyes off the road. Can also get my G-force reading.

I had it on my C5 and I loved it but what Al says is right, Anytime I wore my polarized glasses it would be tough to see.

It really is a great feature, if it was something I could easily and relatively cheaply (under $500) do to upgrade my 2010 I would do it. But its not a deal breaker, and I can live without it too...

I really liked it on the C6 that I had. It came with the 3LT package. I really liked the way it interfaced with the nav and the choice of modes that were available.

It is a very useful tool for daily driving and performance driving, but unless you have used one you will not miss it. However, if you have used one you will want another.

Had HUD on my 2000 C5 but not on my 2007 C6. Its cool but ehhh, the DIC is just as nice. I mean I wouldnt trade my 2010 for a 2011 for HUD but its cool.
