Build Sheet

I know..... another build sheet thread, but I promise its not.

When I bought my Camaro in 2012, the dealer informed me that the original papers were discarded when it was delivered.

Papers as in the Build Sheet.

Well, as luck would have it, I brought my car out of storage and started to clean her.

As doing so, I reached the trunk..... I never use it, and if I do its a few grocery's.

Anywho, as I lifted my weathertech trunk mat, I then lifted my trunk lining and there were my 2 build sheet's taped to the top of my spare tire lid.

Now I know for some people its not a big deal, but for me, it was like X-mas.

So now this leads me to the reason why I made this thread.

For the one's that have their build sheet's..... what are you doing to protect them? are you laminating them?

Yes - the window sticker, build sheet, and invoice are laminated. Did the same with my previous Camaro and left those in the trunk for the new owner.

Snapped a photo of the Sub-frame Label showing the exact "Birth Time" of the car (all starts with the frame) 08232013 8:15:19 a.m -- then covered that area of the frame in plastic to protect it from water (too delicate to remove the label without tearing it up).

Also saved the Key Fob tags/Key Codes -- the separate set of recall keys are only used as spares.

In the 70's I bought a 2 year old Ford, about 6 months later found the build sheet under the drivers front seat spring.

Is there an online resource or company that can provide a build sheet?

I used monroneylabels.com to get a new window sticker for my camaro. Dealer didn't have one. If i remember right it cost about $40, it was a long time ago though so I could be wrong.

All of the window stickers for our cars are framed, I was planning to hang them up in the garage but I’ve never actually got to it...who knows I may do it tonight!
