Oil: 1,500.
Transmission: haven't touched it. What's the manual say? Brake: after first track day. Should have been before to add high temp fluid. Clutch: added a separate reservoir and change it every two weeks. Differential: according to manual after 24 hours of track time. Others here are doing sooner.

What are reasonable intervals for street use, other than the minimalist manual recommendation? And here's a loaded question, what brand differential fluid is best?

most people will tell you to never touch the tranny/rear end. but thats in a normal car that doesnt know what rpm/torque are.
I had 1500. just changed oil/ rear end. plan on doing tranny. just need the $100 spare for fluids. rear end- 1qt lucas 75w-90 topped with lucas stabilizer. and crazy at its sounds the car drives so much smoother. and havnt touched the tranny yet. should be awesome.

Ok,...So is this a non-issue for the 2013's? The listing you provided, thank you, says for 10 - 12's. Also, I'm still flabergasted at how dinky our oil filter is.

Oil at 450 with k&n oil filter and a filtermag, plan on doing oil again at 2000. I hope to do diff and trans around 2500 using mobil 1 for both. Using quakerstate full synthetic for oil, only $20 for 5 quarts. I may change to something higher priced if/when I track it.

Has anyone used royal purple on their 1LE? I remember it working great in the Subaru I used to have, just burned up a bit with the turbo. With no turbo I'm guessing it could last a while?

Depending on who you talk to, it doesn't need to be done at all. If it were an issue, GM would have used two in the first place, and they stand behind the warranty. In any case, the kit fits the '13 as well. Tramtwo has pics in his journal and I've got it installed on mine. |

I changed all 3 (Engine Oil, Tranny, Rear Diff) at 1500 miles since that was the end of the break in mileage.
For now I just used Mobil 1 5W-30 but I am looking at switching to AMSoil 5W-30 Signature Series. For the Tranny I used Redline D4 ATF (Yes for the 6-speed manual in the V8's ATF is the fluid required). For the Rear Diff I used Redline 75W-90 Full Synthetic gear oil and 3oz of GM Limited Slip additive. I had no issues before changing the fluids and I have no issues now either. But I will say that the rear diff plug had quite a bit of metal deposited on the magnet so I'm glad I changed the fluid and got all that out of there and put fresh fluid in.

Currently under 900 miles, my wife's taking the car to New Era for a dyno tune next Monday, and by the time I'm home on vacation and put a few more miles on it'll probably be around the 1200-1400 mile mark or so. I'll then drop the fluids and then it'll be good to go until next spring. Looking at Amsoil and Redline offerings like mentioned above.
