was going to buy one painted through a vendor but decided... screw it, would do it myself... I had a successful outing smoking my own tail lights:

so why not try the engine cover?

about $50 in painting supplies at Autozone, used High heat engine paint(gloss black and Chrysler Red) and Plastic Primer...

came out amazing, and was much cheaper than the $300 option

there was also a lot of wet sanding going on after I took the pics of red on primer in the shots above, its smooth as silk now, lol

that looks really great, I got lucky and bought my IOM one for $75.00 off a C5 member who took it off right after he bought his SS, yours looks awesome

i'm going to do get the MGP red brake covers and do the emblems like this:

so it'll match the "theme" of the car in a few weeks

i've picked up a set of Chrome SS Wheels and decided since they draw a little more attention now, might as well invest in red caliper covers, don't want to paint them, they fade too quickly and cause your brakes to overheat...

and 25% tint is going on as well, decided to do some cosmetic stuff on the car before the weather gets warm...
