Short throw, and learning to shift FAST!

Hey guys,, so who here is a manual shit king! One thing I am pretty positive about, is my car would run faster if I knew how to shift! Looking into short throw shifter before I go back to the track, and I really need to learn how to get some speed out of my shifts!

I try to shift fast, but its like I am still slow... sometimes on the street I nail a pretty quick one off but on the track is seems I am slow as heck! I need some help here, and tips to getting faster... my car feels like an on off switch when I shift I figure a short throw can at lest make up for some of it.

Practice, Practice, Practice.

How fast is your L foot? Maybe you're only shifting as quickly as your foot will allow.

Before you get out of the car (after you've turned her off) - row through the gears 2 or 3 times. No need to use the clutch, the idea behind the practice is to build muscle memory. Do it every time you get out of the car, and I guarantee in a month you'll be shifting faster.
