th400 driveshaft

Well since I can't get a 1 piece to work to my liking in my car I just took the stock 2 piece and had the front cut and welded for the th400 slip yoke. Smooth as a baby's ass now all the way up to 75mph cruise. I know there's a 1 piece made just for this application that seems to work but I'm picky as hell. So far I'm liking it a lot. We will see how durable it is.....

My one piece has no vibration at all but I was very careful when shimming the transmission mount to get the right angle off of the tail shaft to match parallel to the pinion angle on the differential. I also hung a plumb bob off the centre of the crank at the balancer and marked the floor then did the same off the centre of the pinion gear on the diff. I snapped a chalk line between the two points and the hung the plum bob off the tail shaft of the transmission and lined it up on the floor mark before tightening the rear of the transmission down.

This! I did the same thing. I couldn't believe how far off my crank centerline to diff centerline was when I did my 4L80E swap. I checked it with the stock TR6060 also and it wasn't even close. It was off by about 3/4" at the end of the tailshaft housing.
