Buying out of state and warranty question

Ok I have a question that I've been curious about for awhile. If you have a warranty problem do you have to take it back to the dealer you bought the car from or can you take it to any Chevy dealer?

I would love to go to South Carolina and buy the car to save a lot on sales tax but I'm afraid that if there is any problems that I will end having to go back down there to get it fixed.

ANY Chevy dealer will cover your warranty issues.
EDIT->
Going to another state won't save you sales tax. Tax is paid in the state where the car is registered regardless of where it's bought.

It does in NC. Here they allow us to choose and if we have proof that we paid SC's sales tax we don't have to pay NC's sales tax nor the difference. I've already looked into it or I wouldn't be thinking about doing it.
