Eating up an x6m - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Guy showed up at the airstrip tonight in the middle of our meet with a brand new bmw x6m. Man the thing was nice! Started talking about throwing money down for a race. No one wanted to race him. I saw him and immediately said "hell yeah." I didn't throw any money down (darn it could've make a few hundred!). I thought I was in trouble to be honest.

x6m = 555hp 5xx torque, 5400lbs, runs 1/4 mile in like 12.5. He had a passenger, I had a passenger. We went from dig. He's AWD. Well, lets just say when I cut off at 220kph I had about 6 cars on him. From a roll it was even worse... And he was jumping the tree.

Cars running strong! Can't wait for the ls3 swap/cam/ud pulley. He said next week he's bringing me a panamera turbo S to play against. My buddy has the race on video. I'll try to get it and will PM it to whoever requests it. He's filming from behind, at the airstrip, but you can clearly tell the outcome

Awesome kill! I love how these cars can take on cars 2 times the price. Humbles the other guy really fast.

i am a huge fan of the X6 M, last time i went to the BMW dealership to pick up my car there was a one there in the showroom. OMG hell of a SUV.

Of course a Camaro can take on a car 2 times the price, when it's modded that's no surprise at all....

How much horsepower are you putting down at the wheels OP?

I'd love to see the video. It's always fun to hear bla bla bla to the point that he has you thinking your driving a really slow car, and he's in a jet. Then you take a win. What an awesome feeling.

I had that happen with a guy in an srt8 truck with 150 shot of NOS among other stuff. He was always talking crap (I drove a heavily modded Lightning). Finally I said just bring it. We went to the track. I took him by about 13 lengths in the 1/8th. In the stands somebody said that the guy should know by now that he didn't stand a chance. We had a great time, but he was never a contender.

There was another time a guy with a real sweet Camaro (~1970), was always talking crap. Engine buiilt by a race team, bla bla bla. We raced. He had an all new respect for my ride and driving abilities, as he bragged to everybody how awesome my ride was.

And your post is the exact reason why I always say, "bring it". But I never talk crap, because I've raced enough to know that somebody is always waaaaaay faster.
